Rabbi 006_editedJeff Schubert’s life was changed after his mother was diagnosed and passed away from a rare form of cancer called cholangiocarcinoma.  As a result of this loss and experience, Schubert decided to join the fight against cancer the best way he knew how.  The Arts.  He created the web show, Cancer A to Z, with the hope of helping the viewer prevent cancer, be prepared in the event they are diagnosed with cancer, and or have a better and less stressful outcome.

As a host/producer, Schubert produced and hosted one of the longest running and most successful shows on TheStream.Tv called Filmnut.  Filmnut, still available on-demand at TheStream.Tv/filmnut, is an a to z show about the making, marketing, and distribution of film, TV, and new media.  A sample of notable guests include: Oscar winning writer, Bob Moresco. Emmy winning director, Michael Lembeck.  Oscar winning make-up Artist, Jeff Dawn.  And from the movie Avatar, actor Joel David Moore.  Originally from New York City, Schubert’s background also includes: acting, writing, directing, producing, and stand-up comedy.  A full list of credits can be found on his IMDBpage.

Other projects Schubert has in development that center around cancer include a romantic drama feature he has written entitled, It’s About Life, and the documentary, Coming Together To Fight Cancer (CTTFC).  On CTTFC, Schubert maintains a blog filled with inspiration, and cancer resources.  He has recently written and performed the music video, What Message Does It Send? A call to arms in the fight against cancer.

In addition to film & television, Schubert published the psychologically provocative self-help ebook, “The Authentic You”.  He also maintains a sports and issues blog called, Second Take.

Schubert has an undergraduate degree in psychology from the University of Denver, and is certified in massage therapy and hypnosis.

Executive Producer


Susan Wrenn has spent her professional career devoted to the strategic marketing of film, television, new media and music content. In her twenty-year tenure at Paramount Pictures, as Senior Vice President, Marketing/ Media Director for the film group, she created and executed the media campaigns for 300+ feature films, including Titanic, Forrest Gump, Braveheart, Runaway Bride, What Women Want, Wayne’s World, Save the Last Dance, Jackass, Rugrats, Kings of Comedy, Juice, Mission Impossible, Beavis and Butthead and many other titles.

Ms. Wrenn’s expertise reaching and motivating both broad and niche targets is demonstrated by the box office success her efforts have served. As Media Director she managed investments in television, radio, print, digital, and out-of-home and the integration of media strategies with the company’s creative, publicity, and promotional activities, and sat on the Viacom Marketing Council for many years.

Ms. Wrenn currently serves as the CEO of internet channels and She has been a Member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences since 1994, as well as a teacher and lecturer for USC, UCLA and Columbia College Chicago, where she continues to help build the marketing program for their Semester in LA program.

Lorna Paul has been creating content across all platforms for the past ten years. Graduating with honors from the Los Angeles Film Schoolʼs Feature Development Program, her work was awarded a special screening at the 2005 Festivale De Cannes. She produced Career Virgin, one of eight short films selected for the prestigious AFI Directing Workshop for Women.

In 2011, Paul joined forces with Blanc-Biehn Productions for The Victim, the directorial debut of Michael Biehn (Terminator, The Rock, Tombstone), starring Biehn and scream queen Danielle Harris (Rob Zombieʼs Halloween). Paul most recently produced the coming of age sports drama Beyond the Mat , and paranormal thriller, Altergeist.

In 2012, Paul line produced Birth 2012, a 33-hour global live webcast with The Shift Network and Agape International featuring many of todayʼs top cultural leaders, musicians and New York Times bestselling authors including Deepak Chopra, Marianne Williamson, Don Miguel Ruiz and Jack Canfield.

Prior to going independent, Paul was the Director of Film Finance at Entertainment Finance Associates, assisting entertainment companies seeking capital investment for independent film productions and other strategic entertainment initiatives. As liaison between film producers, bank officers and investors, Paul provided specific market analyses of film sectors and genres regarding historical performance and revenue potential, stewarding to the big screen Emmy-nominated “Dancing in September” and the hard hitting drama “American Gun” starring Oscar-winner James Coburn and Oscar nominee Virginia Madsen.

Paul is the Co-Founder of live internet channels and Studio where she serves as COO and producer. She was nominated earlier this year for a Streamy Award for “Best Live Series” as a producer of Secrets of the Red Carpet.
