A part of me welcomes you to the blog, and the website, with mixed emotions. I realize that at this point most people taking a strong interest in the subject of cancer have been personally touched by it.  If you are currently fighting it, my prayers are with you.  My intention is for this site to grow and become a resource for you.

If you lost someone near and dear to you, you have my sincere condolences.

My Mom & I, June/1988

Before I lost my mother, that was something I would say to people, and I honestly thought I meant it.  And I did mean it… but… it just takes on a whole new meaning when you lose someone, especially a parent, or anyone who means so much to you.  I can relate and understand in a way I previously could only imagine.

But hopefully many of you have happy success stories of overcoming and beating it!  Hopefully all of you will help spread the word about this site/ cause and the need to do more to be prepared.  A point I will keep trying to hammer home is we need to put ourselves in the best position to survive and thrive, should we get the dreaded diagnosis.

I want to thank you all for taking the time to visit the website and consider the cause.  Going forward I will use the blog for updates, thoughts on life, inspiration, and of course the fight against cancer.  In addition, since prevention is far preferred to ever getting diagnosed in the first the place, health and wellness too. (I’ll keep the sports blogs for my other site. :)

In the future I would like to post blogs and pictures submitted and written by people who have lost a loved one to cancer.  Or by people fighting the good fight.

Coming up soon is a music video currently being edited, and a celebrity PSA is in development.  I also hope to be opening an on-line store for merchandise so be sure to check back for that!  In fact, to keep up with everything, please subscribe to the blog by entering your email address on the left of this page.

The side background color of the website is currently teal.  This will change every month to reflect awareness of a different cancer.  Teal for the month of January is for cervical cancer awareness.

Beyond helping to get the word out, of course tax-deductible, to the extent allowed by law, donations are welcome and greatly appreciated!  You can make a donation by clicking here.

In addition to monetary donations, Fractured Atlas also provides tax deductions for certain goods that are donated.  Inquire via the contact form if you think you have something of interest.  As production of CTTFC nears, I can be more specific about potential needs.

However, if money is too tight for you at this time, again, you can always help by spreading the word about the project to your friends, (people you think do have money), and by liking/following us on Facebook, Twitter and Youtube.
